The Scoop - Caleb Kephart has been one of the best running backs in the area for the past two seasons with career marks 2,633 rushing yards and 34 touchdowns. There is every reason to believe this can be another big time season for the Portage back. Kephart has surprising strength for his stature, but also has the good speed to get it to the outside. Like many backs that have a lot of success, Kephart's vision really sets him apart and he avaerages an impressive 9.8 yards per carry in his two seasons as the featured back for the Mustangs. Kephart added 12 catches last season, and that brings in another element to his game. Kephart is a home run threat, and is a big part to their kick return game as well. Defensively, Kephart is an instinctful linebacker that is always around the ball. He should be an anchor again for this defense.Portage is expected to have another big year, and it could be one that sees them make a run to Mansion Park, go check out these Mustangs and watch Kephart go to work.
