The Scoop - Not many football players can make it look easy, but that's exactly what Braden Fochtman does on a weekly basis. Fochtman took over as the team's primary running back last season as a sophomore, and all he did was finish 11th in the state in rushing yards, while comfortably leading the area in yardage as well. Fochtman has a smooth running style, and he has excellent vision. He knows when to make the cut, and when to turn on the jets. Fochtman is an exciting player, and has the ability to turn a little gain into a touchdown...every time. The Mountaineers' back went over the 300 yard mark in a game twice last year, and has that kind of potential in every game he plays in this season. Fochtman has a little over 2,500 career yards and still has two seasons to go, with a good start this year, he can begin to put his sights on making the state's all-time top twenty rushing list.
